Statement of Faith

We Believe:

  1. That, there is one Sovereign God, eternally existent in three persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. DEUTERONOMY 4:35, 39; 6:4; MATTHEW 3:16-17; 28:19-20; 2 CORINTHIANS 13:14.
  2. That, the Holy Bible, consisting of 66 books; 39 books of the Old Testament, and 27 books of the New Testament; is the infallible, inspired Word of God. We take the Bible, as the final authority in all matters concerning Christian conduct, and God's service. 2 TIMOTHY 3:16-17; PROVERBS 30:5-6; REVELATION 22:18-19; PSALM 119:6, 9, 105.
  3. In the virgin birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death, His burial and bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father; His coming, in the clouds, for the saints; in the Pre-Tribulation Rapture, and His personal future return to this earth, in Power and Glory; to rule a thousand years. ISAIAH 7:14; MATTHEW 1:18-25; ROMANS 1:4; 1 CORINTHIANS 15:3-4; ACTS 2:31-33; 1:9-11; 1 THESSALONIANS 4:16-17; JUDE 1:14-15; REVELATION 19:11-14; 20:4.
  4. In the total depravity, sinfulness and guilt of all men, since the Fall of Man, rendering all men, subject to God's wrath and condemnation. PSALM 51:5; 58:3; JOB 14:4; ROMANS 3:23; 5:12-19; MARK 7:21-23.
  5. That, genuine Repentance, is a complete turning away from all sins, and deceitful pleasures; and that, it is required from every sinner who seeks reconciliation with God. That repentance is essential, before one is justified by faith, in the atoning blood of Jesus, and the accomplished work on the cross; the act whereby one receives forgiveness from God, and is counted righteous before God; born again, and therefore saved. That Restitution, is required, so as to have a conscience void of offense, toward God and men. PROVERBS 28:13; ISAIAH 55:7; EZEKIEL 18:21-23; MARK 1:15; LUKE 24:46-47; ACTS 2:38; 3:19, 21; 2 CORINTHIANS 7:10; 1 JOHN 1:5-10; GENESIS 20:1-8, 14-18; EXODUS 22:1-7; NUMBERS 5:6-8; LUKE 17:3-4; 19:8-9; ACTS 24:16; PHILEMON 1:18-19.
  6. That, Water Baptism, is essential to our obedience, after reconciliation with God. We believe that, it is one immersion in water, in the Name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Spirit; as Jesus commanded. MATTHEW 28:19; 3:13-17; MARK 16:15; JOHN 3:23; ACTS 2:38-39; ROMANS 6:4-5.
  7. That, the Lord's Supper, was constituted by Jesus Christ, so that, all believers might partake thereof regularly, to proclaim the Lord's death, till He comes. We ought to do this as often, in remembrance of Him. The emblems used are "unleavened bread", and the juice of "fruit of the vine". Anyone who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner, brings judgement, punishment and chastisement upon himself. MATTHEW 26:26-29; LUKE 22:17-20; 1 CORINTHIANS 11:23-30.
  8. That, without Holiness, no man shall see the Lord. That Sanctification or circumcision of the heart, is a definite work of God's grace upon believers, by which act, one is enabled to attain holiness of life, and purity of heart. HEBREWS 12:14; LUKE 1:74-75; 1 PETER 1:15-16; MATTHEW 5:48; JOHN 17:15-17; 1 THESSALONIANS 4:3, 7-8; 5:22-24; EPHESIANS 5:25-27; HEBREWS 2:11; 10:10, 14; 13:11-12; TITUS 2:11-12; PSALM 16:3; ROMANS 2:28-29; COLOSSIANS 2:11.
  9. That, the Baptism with the Holy Spirit, is the enduement of power from on High, upon the sanctified believer. It is "the promise of the Father", and when one receives this "gift of the Holy Spirit", it is accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in tongues, as the Spirit gives utterance. MATTHEW 3:11; ACTS 1:8; LUKE 3:16; 24:49; JOHN 1:30-33; 7:37-39; 14:16-17, 26; 16:12-15; MARK 16:17; ACTS 2:1-4, 38-39; 10:44-46; 19:1-6.
  10. That, the Redemptive work of Jesus, on the cross, provides for the healing of the human body; in answer to believing prayer. EXODUS 15:26; DEUTERONOMY 7:15; PSALM 103:3; MATTHEW 8:14-17; MARK 16:15-18; LUKE 13:16; JOHN 14:12-14; 10:10; ACTS 10:38; JAMES 5:14-16; 1 JOHN 3:8; 3 JOHN 1:2; GALATIANS 3:13-14; 1 PETER 2:24.
  11. That marriage is between one man, and one woman, and that marriage is binding for life. Have you not read that, He who made them at the beginning, made them male and female and said, For this reason, a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh? So then, they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate. For the woman who has a husband, is bound by the law to her husband as long as he lives. But if the husband dies, she is released from the law of her husband. So then, if while her husband lives, she marries another man, she will be called an adulteress, but if her husband dies, she is free from that law, so she is no adulteress, though she has married another man. Whoever divorces his wife, and marries another, commits adultery; and whoever marries her, who is divorced from her husband, commits adultery. A wife is not to depart from her husband. But if she does depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband. And a husband is not to divorce his wife. MATTHEW 19:4-6; ROMANS 7:2-3; LUKE 16:18; 1 CORINTHIANS 7:10-11.
  12. That, after death, all who lived in sin, go to hell, a place of torment, which is as real as heaven; where the saints go after death, and that there is no second chance. LUKE 16:19-31; PSALM 9:17; MATTHEW 25:46; MATTHEW 5:22, 30; MARK 9:43-47; LUKE 12:4-5; REVELATION 14:10-11; 20:12-15.
  13. In the Resurrection of life, and the Resurrection of damnation; for the saved and rebellious, respectively. We believe in the Rapture of the Church. The saints who are dead in Christ, will arise first, and shall be caught up together with them who are alive and remain, in the clouds; to meet the Lord in the air. We also believe in the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to the earth, with the saints; to rule the earth for  thousand years, and thereafter; Jesus will dwell together with the saints, in the Tabernacle of God, the New Heaven and the New Earth; where there shall be no more death, no sorrow, no crying, no pain, for the former things have passed away. PSALM 71:20; ISAIAH 26:19; DANIEL 12:2; JOHN 5:28-29; REVELATION 20:6; 1 THESSALONIANS 4:16-17; JUDE 1:14-15; REVELATION 19:11-14; 20:4; 21:1-4.
